I recently finished the latest novel by Maggie O'Farrell, one of my favourite writers. She paints worlds so well and this novel made me feel like I had travelled across the continents as its tale spins from the UK to Sweden to the USA to China, France and Ireland. The story jumps around in time and leaves you fitting the pieces together like a jigsaw. Totally absorbing. I loved it.
