Olafur Arnalds - Island Songs

"To me this project is about collaboration... It's not going to be perfect and that's actually a good thing. You're going to have to improvise as you go and that's where the real magic comes from."

I love listening to Mary Anne Hobbs' lovely lulling breakfast show on BBC 6 Music at the weekends. Every show opens my eyes and ears to a new artist or piece of music. Over the past few weeks, Mary Anne has been highlighting Olafur Arnalds project, Island Songs. He explains it better than I can in this lovely clip from this morning's show.

The latest and last song from the project is Doria. It's just magical...

Ólafur Arnalds brings you the seventh and final single from Island Songs, his 7-week journey across Iceland to record a series of compositions. Watch Doria, recorded in Iðnó Concert Hall, Reykjavik, amongst friends, family and contributors to Island Songs. The video is directed by Baldvin Z.
